Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago (PCS) youth Bhangra team "Punjabi Boys" will perform world famous Punjabi folk dance "BHANGRA" at the Multicultural Intergenerational Holiday Celebrations on Sunday, December 10, 2000, 2pm-4pm at Palatine Township Senior Center at 505 S. Quentin Rd., Palatine, IL. (between Palatine Rd. and Illinois St. in Palatine) The audience will also be taught Bhangra dance steps for fun like a Bhangra 101 class. Various other mainstream American organizations are also performing. More...

PCS artists will also be performing on New Year Eve celebrations in Evanston on Sunday, December 31st at 6pm-7pm at YWCA, in Evanston. The program is also listed at City of Evanston's website  First Night Evanston 2001. The performance at Palatine Seniors Center is being organized by Mr. Thakar Singh Basati, past PCS President. The same group rendered an outstanding performance at Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago on Sunday November 19, 2000. Members of "Senior Tea Party will also attend the festivities this Sunday. Recently most of the Senior Tea Party members also joined Secretary of States trip to Springfield and also visited Museum of Science performances.

Punjabi community will collect games, money to take to Little City Foundation in Palatine until Dec 17th 2000 at Palatine Gurdwara Sahib. Little city provides services to disabled children of all ages. There are about 10-15 children housed in 6 homes, Each home has different age groups. We have list of games they have asked for and is posted at Gurdwara Sahib in Palatine. PCS is also organizing a female seminar on Sunday, December 17, ‘2000, 12-1pm at Palatine Gurdwara Sunday School. For info. call Mrs Atwal at (847) 564-4735. PCS also holds its weekly Boy scout meeting for the Gared 1st through Grade 8th, every Wednesday, 7pm-8pm at Palatine Gurdwara Sahib, for registration contact Mrs Atwal at (847) 564-4735. 

Rangla Punjab ‘2001 participant registration forms will be available at the performances and also atYMCA, Palatine 12:30-2pm during Basketball practices.
